Sika Wintermix

Sika Wintermix & Frostproofer is a chloride free, winter working admixture for concrete that is suitable for use with steel reinforcement.

Uses:

• As a liquid admixture that allows mortars and concretes to be used at low temperatures.
• Keeps work continuing when temperatures would normally stop operations.
• As an accelerator for faster finishing and curing times at normal temperatures.
• Chloride free properties allow Sika Wintermix to be used where embedded steel reinforcement exists.

Application:

• Pre-mix Sika Wintermix with clean water at the appropriate dosage rate for the application.
• Add to the pre-mixed sand and cement.

Dosage Rate: will depend on ambient temperature or acceleration required. As a guide, this will be 1.25 to 2.5 litres per 25kg cement. The use of warm water will assist in maintaining the temperature of the mixed materials which should be above 3°C.
