Could This Product End Our Visits To The Pub?
It could be last time you ever need to head to the local.
A revolutionary new gadget called the The Sub, has just been launched by beer makers Heineken.
And it promises to bring draught lager to your living room.
The Dutch company has teamed up with Apple designer Marc Newson, to create this home draft concept
The Sub works via beer filled cylinders called Torps, which pop inside the machine like alcoholic Soda Stream.
These booze filled canisters last for up to two weeks once inside and bring you ice cold beer on tap whenever you fancy it.
There’s four types of beer available including Heineken, Affligem, Deperados and Birra Moretti
It’s creator Marc Newson, explained his idea to website Dezen, saying: "My wife for example, who loves beer, doesn't ever drink a whole can of it. Half a can will sit there, get warm and get thrown out,”
"This enables you to have any amount of beer, you could have a thimble full if you wanted and it would be as good as a big glass."
The product is currently available in France and Italy but Heineken hope to launch in the UK next year.
It’ll set you back around £200 for the pump, although the Torp beer prices are currently unavailable
“This could be next years must have buy” says Greengates Builders Merchants Accrington, Lancashire.
