Spring Doesn’t Begin Till The 20th March 2013 Says Greengates Builders Merchants Accrington, Lancashire
So why do newspapers keep saying where is spring? Or spring may have finally arrived; we are still in winter so we are bound to have bad weather!
When the 20th March arrives we are then officially in spring then we can look forward to what the season brings, increasing daylight, warming temperatures, and the rebirth of flora and fauna.
This weekend according to the papers Spring will have arrived the sun will be a familiar sight as temperatures reach double figures to finally bring an end to the cold, snowy weather which has blighted the country so far this year.
And clearer skies mean that those looking to the heavens at night could be able to see the international space station and Mercury to the west.
The balmy weather has arrived just in time for half-term and the settled weather is likely to continue into next week, although temperatures will start to drop throughout the week, forecasters have warned.
This is definitely one of the warmest weekends we have had this winter and February has been very cold.
The settled weather will remain for the beginning of next week; the mercury has struggled to reach average temperatures so far this February, which are around seven degrees.
“So this is why the spring plants and bulbs are not making an appearance yet they are waiting for warmer temperatures to bloom and spring to arrive on March 20th”. Says Greengates Builders Merchants Accrington, Lancashire.
