Would You Pay More For Luxury Looks?
Home owners are today more aware of the luxury features that can be installed in a modern home.
Luxury features in the home are more popular now because of celebrity photo shoots and reality shows showing glamorous homes of the rich and famous, it is thought.
House hunters want that little bit more and are willing to pay more for a property with desirable fittings.
1020 home buyers were surveyed by Polypipe to discover the habits of British home buyers.
Top of the list is an energy efficient home, conservatory and underfloor heating.
4% of the survey said they were willing to pay £12,500 more for a home that includes the above fittings.
Other fittings that buyers would like to see are the walk in wardrobe, hot tub and a balcony overlooking the garden. On a more practical note a kitchen dinner was preferable.
Although some of the above features are considered luxury items many people nowadays expect them as standard.
Gone are the days when a purchaser wanted to buy a house to do up. The modern house buyer expects the house to include all mod cons and be tastefully decorated, all ready to move in. Nobody wants to wait years anymore whilst they save to do a home up. Even first time buyers now want the perfect home to move straight into.
“So if you’re thinking of selling you had better have your home in tip top condition if you want a quick sale” says Greengates Builders Merchants Accrington, Lancashire.
