There is no charge for the collection of orders regardless of account type.
When will my order be ready to collect?
If you place your order before 12 noon Monday to Friday then we will aim to have your order available to collect in just a few hours from our store.
Orders placed after 12 noon will be available to collect the next working day. If you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or a Bank Holiday, your order will be ready to collect on the next working day. If when we receive your order there is a problem such as, we no longer have the item in stock, we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you.
If products are not in stock it may take 3-5 working days to have your order ready to collect.
How will I know my order is ready to collect?
Once we have received your order we will work hard to get your order together as quickly as possible. Once your order is ready we will either send you a confirmation email or telephone you to let you know.
Do I need to bring anything when I come to collect my order?
Please head to the Trade Counter in the shop and bring the following with you:
- A copy of your order confirmation on your phone or printed out as proof of purchase
- The payment card that you used to pay for the order or
- Photo ID (driver’s licence, passport)
- Proof of age will also be required for age-restricted products.
Proof of age
Consumer laws control the quality and safety of Goods and services. In some cases, goods such as knives and hazardous chemicals cannot be supplied to anyone below a certain age.
At Greengates we operate a Challenge 25 Policy for purchasing any age restricted Goods. Please ensure you bring a valid photo I.D. when collecting your items, otherwise the sale may be declined.
Can someone collect my order on my behalf?
Yes, someone else can collect your order for you, but the person you have nominated must present a copy of the order confirmation and their photo I.D. (passport or driver’s licence).
If they do not have the correct ID then we will contact the customer who placed the order to confirm we can release the goods.
How long will you hold my order for?
If the Goods are not collected within 48hours of order confirmation, then we will apply a storage and handling charge of 10% of the order value per day.
The charge must be paid before the release of the goods.
Can I cancel my Click and Collect order?
If you have changed your mind and you wish to cancel your order contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org
We will need your order cancellation in writing. Make sure you include your order reference number and name. We will then contact you to confirm the cancellation of your order and a refund will be processed to the original payment card with a 10% cancellation fee deducted.
For account customers if you cancel a Click and Collect order we will raise a credit on your account.
