Introducing Qube Regency Garden Decking

Though timber is definitely the most traditional material used to create garden decking, a growing number of people are choosing to use composite material as its many benefits become more widely known. Greengates Builders Merchant Accrington is a proud supplier of composite decking from leading brand Qube, which is the focus of this week's edition of our blog.

Qube's bestselling Regency range of decking boards are made entirely from sustainable, environmentally-friendly materials (namely recycled plastic and recycled timber). This combination helps to keep plastic out of landfill and oceans while simultaneously reducing deforestation. Each board is crafted using a unique circular-core construction, giving them a robust strength and durability that far exceeds that of traditional timber boards.

There is no potential for Regency decking boards to rot and they do not provide a surface upon which mould can grow. Thanks to a protective capped layer and integral UV-stabilisation, the boards are not susceptible to colour fading and are exceptionally slip-resistant, even when wet.

The installation of Qube Regency decking boards is carried out using a unique fixing system that requires special clips instead of the screws used with timber decking. This means that, when the structure is completed, there are no exposed fixtures and there is no potential for the splintering that can sometimes be caused by screw holes in timber.

One of the most innovative features of Qube Regency decking boards is the fact that they are a different colour on each side, allowing for the creation of decking structures that have a unique visual appeal. There are three colour combinations to choose from: Island Mist/Sandstone, Mocha/Espresso and Graphite/Slate. Unlike timber decking boards, there is no need to oil, seal and stain products from the Qube Regency collection.

In addition to supplying composite decking boards from the Qube Regency collection, Greengates Builders Merchant can also provide all of the necessary ancillaries you need to complete the project to a professional standard. These ancillaries include starter clips, angle trims, finishing boards and T-clips
